Split System Air conditioners

Split System Air Conditioners are designed to be installed with an indoor unit and an outdoor unit and their size is determined by the rating of their power output in kilowatts (kw). The size of the unit required depends on the size of the area it is cooling or heating. This determination is best left to an experienced professional. Split System Air Conditioners are quiet and suited to cooling one or more adjoining rooms although Multi Split Systems allow up to eight individually controlled indoor units to operate from one outdoor unit.

There are numerous types of indoor units such as Wall mounted, Floor standing, Under ceiling, Cassette and Bulkhead units which have been designed to suit almost any need. Models are available in Cooling only and Heating/Cooling (Reverse Cycle). Models are also available with new inverter technology which use less power, are quieter and able to handle greater extremes in temperature. All systems come with programmable remotes.

Split System Air conditioners can also be ducted to carry refrigerated air to all rooms of the property with zoning an option to enable flexibility of use and to ensure maximum energy efficiency. Controls on these systems are also programmable although are hardwired.
