SYSTEMS INFO
Split Systems/Inverters:
Split System
Split System Air Conditioners are designed to be installed with an indoor unit and an outdoor unit and their size is determined by the rating of their power output in kilowatts (kw). The size of the unit required depends on the size of the area it is cooling or heating. This determination is best left to an experienced professional. Split System Air Conditioners are quiet and generally suited to cooling one or more adjoining rooms although Multi Split Systems allow up to eight individually controlled indoor units to operate from one outdoor unit.

There are numerous types of indoor units such as Wall mounted, Floor standing, Under ceiling, Cassette and Bulkhead units which have been designed to suit almost any need. Models are available in Cooling only and Heating/Cooling (Reverse Cycle). Models are also available with new inverter technology which use less power, are quieter and able to handle greater extremes in temperature. All systems come with programmable remotes.

Refrigerated Ducted Systems:
A central indoor unit located in the ceiling space or under the floor supplies warm or cold air to ceiling or floor outlets via a network of flexible or rigid ducting to all rooms in your home or business. The indoor unit is connected to the outdoor unit which is quiet and unobtrusive. The ability to zone the system gives greater energy savings by allowing the system to say operate in living areas throughout the day and bedrooms at night. Systems can be programmed

Evaporative Cooling
Evaporative cooling consists of a central cooling unit connected to a series of outlets throughout your home. The cooling unit draws fresh air through moistened pads. As it passes through these pads the air is cooled and filtered before flowing through the ductwork and into your rooms - just like a refreshing sea breeze. Various models and sizes are available and are produced in a range of colours that enable you to match your cooler to the colour of your roof.

Hydronic Heating
Hydronic heating uses hot water to provide whole home heating. If used wisely, it can be an economical and highly effective form of central heating. In most hydronic systems, the water is heated in a boiler and then pumped through piping to panel radiators or convectors positioned in each room. Heat is transferred directly from these to the room air. In-slab (‘floor coil’) systems are also available. In these, the heated water is pumped through piping laid in a concrete slab floor during its construction. Heat is released into the slab, and subsequently into the room.
